  • Saturday Sleep

Work is crazy and quietly stressful. With everything in the news being about finances in the toilet, it’s a wonder the entire mortgage banking sector hasn’t committed suicide. Everyone secretly wears a question mark above their heads, not really knowing what to think or if to hope. The happy business faces become a mixed message of the wonder beneath. I get up and go to work because they haven’t told me not to come back yet. Last night I went to the bar to be entertained and float my week down a river of beer. The mission was accomplished, I had fun and got that nice level of chemically numb. Today has consisted of little more than sleep on the couch. It’s been one of those days that my body wins out over my mind in the battle of what it most important, to rest and recharge my spirit.

  • I have definitely been kicking back today as well.  'Tis a good day for it.

  • Some days are just sofa days. Hope you get the rest you need.

  • I'm glad that you get some rest is always nice to let the body win sometimes, specailly in matters of sleep, sex and thirst lol

  • I hear ya on the mortgage stuff. Scary times. Our house value has plummeted in the last couple years. We're buckled in for the long haul now. No more home improvements until the market changes.

  • I want to be on that couch!!!!  Wonderful picture.

  • Any day spent dozing on a couch is a GOOD day. I've been doing that a lot - and itching - beer might help that too.

  • i love that photo!

that is exactly where i wanted to be today--with it being all rainy and unseasonably cool---but it didn't happen.

  • Me, I can't seem to sit still.....Part of me wishes I could drink down that river of beer....But alas, I am a Diet Coke kinda girl.... Maybe I'll try harder...:lol:

  • What a COMFY looking couch! I just wanna curl right up and take a li'l nappy! Your house seems like the best for chil-laxin'. :goodjob:

  • The neighbors' dogs (little terriers) are barking in the hall, attempting to drown out "Country Girl" by Black Sabbath which I am playing on the stereo in my apartment as I am typing this.  I work for a law firm, not a bank, but I do have to go into the office later and finish working on something to be submitted to a totally hostile judge (a self-hating Jewish woman who thinks she has yichus) to attempt to pry sanctions out of the almight GEICO, and who am I, this little piffer whiffer boffer pisher, to have the TEMERITY to insinuate that the insurance companies of Amerikkka aren't Always Right And Never Wrong????

Other exciting news: http://www.xanga.com/MellowLemonade has decided to stop reverting to being a girly girl and return to his transformation to boi!!:sunny:  You might want to stop by there and wish him luck, you seem and always have seemed to me, like perhaps you are open to the idea of having friends who are gender queer and intersexed or whatever you might want to call it.  Not meaning to be patronizing towards you here.  Oh no, not me.  If I see you burning Old Glory, I won't throw water on it because that's just not me.  It's your private ephemera and I have what's mine and you have what's yours.:fun:

Transsexualism: This is a big thing on MySpace much more than Xanga although there is phishing and bugs and other MySpace annoyances that periodically interfere with my MySpace experiences with women's feet:p:p, people who want to be the opposite gender:love:, etc.

  • We live in precarious times. It is good to have a sofa to rest from them.

I haven't had a good sofa day in I don't know how long. I would like to sleep a whole weekend away sometimes, but I haven't had one off since I don't know when. Oy.

    Blessings~ :)

  • Today I am spending the day in a hammock(probably the wrong spelling) on the balcony and recharging my batteries.

  • I absolutely love this photo. Funny how such simply things can be so....lovely.
