I found these empty Lacewing eggs underneath a leaf on the Milkweed today.
They are a serious predator of all the bad bugs in the garden & I was quite happy to find they are happy to live here with all the other insects and critters I have managed to attract!
Oooh, that's cool. I don't think that I have ever encountered those before.
Never seen them--or maybe it's that I never noticed or knew about them! We get a lot of dragonfly swarms going after mosquitoes.
Yippee for good bugs - we have a few toads in our yard.
They are so delicate looking and really beautiful. Hmmm, me saying anything about a bug is beautiful-how odd. Nice pic!
much like spiders, i'm sure they would find a way to cacoon me if given the chance
What a beautiful picture! I've never seen or even heard of those before. I wanna be a lacewing! Useful...predatory...and welcome in your garden. And too simple to worry about bills and ills.
Oooh! I need some predatory bugs to come play in my garden! *sparkle
Those eggs are lovely. As are the words "lacewing" and "milkweed".x.g.
omg! amazing!
These are neat!!!Never heard of lacewings before, yet another topic to enlighten myself in later on tonight!Great shot, as always!
Wow! They are so delicate. I hope they help protect your garden.
I am all for attracting the good bugs, toads, frogs and little snakes help out a lot too. Judi
Wonderful photo.
The Big Bopper ... died with Buddy.
Take care,
John
