Heat Advisory
Alert from the National Weather Service
... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Monday...
High temperatures over 100 degrees are forecast again on Monday
across the advisory area. Relative humidity values may fall into
the 15 to 25 percent range on Monday afternoon... but the hot
temperatures will still pose a potentially dangerous heat
situation.
Be sure to check on persons with health problems and the
elderly... as they are the most susceptible to heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
Persons involved in outdoor activities are urged to take frequent
breaks and drink plenty of water. Wear loose fitting and light-
colored clothing.
Never leave Young children or pets in an enclosed vehicle... even
for a short time... as temperatures can quickly rise to life
threatening levels.

Old school with that video. (Can't believe I have that on DVD. haha.)
Oh lordy, the heat really does kill. Thankfully it's about to storm here, so it's cooled down. x.x
Ooooooh. Too much heat! Bad!
I left that house on FI-YAH, and I never went back!
i know that feeling wilted it is record heat here also we had about a one minute sprinkle which added to the sauna like affect the sun actually burned some of my Ficus leaves & left scars hope we all get a bit of rain on our gardens blessings beck
I sympathize with your cannas. I feel the same way. Every day the daylily foliage looks worse. If we don't have rain soon and cooler temps, the garden will be toast before long.
Scary heat wave~!
We get some wilting with 90 degree temps, but this Summer has been relatively cool. Not so much rain, though. The Prairie rain was about 60 miles south of here, but that is a good thing as that area is prime farm land. Many of my plants were stunted with the early transplant and little rain, but they are blooming. I think it will take them a full cycle of the Wheel to come back to their full potential.
Blessings~
feelin hot hot hot....that song is now stuck in my head heh heh. Hope you gave the cannas a nice drink...they sure need it, eh? :sunny:
Don't mind me, I just by to watch the video again. :p
Booo. That sucks.
My friend used to measure heat according to how fast the Wonder Woman action figure on her dashboard wilted.
x.g.
