  • Feeling The Changes

The years go by and so much can change and yet there are constants that float upon the tide of time. A crispness in the air which arrives with September twilights. The sound of a local practicing high school marching band heralds the coming Autumn. Here in Texas, the second growing season begins as plants & grasses rise from the heat to grow anew. Lots of people claim to have Spring fever, but I get Autumn fever! It makes me anxious for cooler weather & building fires. I daydream of lazy days on the couch with a bottomless cup of coffee & movie marathons. It makes me yearn for hiking & camping in the wilderness. It is a time to be alive just before the death of nature. Although I wish to hurry it along I will be patient until she unveils her timeless secrets.

  • I don't feel like such an anomalie!  I really hate summer other than gardening.  I look forward to the smell of autumnal decay and the nesting that goes on as I get ready for winter.

  • for most of my life i despised autumn   now i embrace it & look forward

  • I hear you.  We feel much alike in regards to Autumn.

Funny, I have a post sitting in wait, about changes.

  • :sunny: I live in the land of perpetual summer :sunny:

(Oh it is very intentional!) :spinning:

  • It is a time to be alive just before the death of nature. That is a powerful phrase... and it makes me think, "What more can I do?"

  • Autumn gets into my blood and makes me long for the road. I get itchy and antsy, but ready, too for the stasis of winter.

  • autumn is a nice time of year, its like a having a rest before fighting our way through dark winter months,
