@LegendaryD - Glad you liked it and yes you should!
I thought the flower was from something else at first but looking it up its also called Rose Moss. I realised the stems were of a succulant but I've never seen such a flower on one. Apparances can be deceptive! :goodjob:
Roses always take me back to my childhood and my grandfather...
Still waiting for you to make my yard look like this....
Beautiful!
My grandmother had moss roses of all colors. As a child, I loved to gather the seeds for her.

The flowers is so pretty...the plant almost looks like plastic. :goodjob:
Moss roses make me think of my childhood because my mom grew them. They make my grandma think of her childhood because her dad grew them.
I adore my portulaca - but the raccoons find it too delicious to resist. It's all stumpy and nibbled at the edges.
ryc: You said it, sister.
x.g.
The flower looks as though it was painted. Nice shot. I have pink portulaca.
RYC: Thanks for the link. Sure enough my little buggy friends (or foes if they eat my flowers) are listed as an immature katydid.
*sparkle
Oh, beautiful one.
Thats a beautiful picture! I like the shape of the leaves, they look so robust! I may have to get a portulaca on account of this. Haha.
@WiseOrFool - It is considered a succulent so the foliage has that spongy, Aloe-like structure with a waxy feeling surface.
@soNOTcool - tradition is a wonderful thing!
@underused - Damned Raccoons! Someone should go out there in her skivvies and throw things at them! *wink*
@Sparkling_Rainbow - I have red and pink too. Glad the bug identification site was helpful!
@maniaxx - Thanks!
